MUSEUM PASSES

Through the generous support of the Friends of the Library CPL is able to offer the following museum passes.  They are available for check out on a first come basis and are checked out for a 24 hour period.  That is, if you get a pass on a Monday morning it will be due before the Library closes on Tuesday.  Description of passes available.

HOMEBOUND SERVICES

Delivery and pick-up of books is offered for patrons who are homebound, both for long term and temporary periods.

COMPUTER SERVICES

Workstations in the Library offer Internet access and word processing. Time allotments on the Internet are assigned in 1/2 hour blocks, and can be reserved in advance. Patrons must abide by the library’s Internet Use Policy.

In addition, two dedicated workstations offering Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) are available for public use. Time may be reserved in advance.

Printing is available in black & white only. A charge of 10 cents per page applies.

AUDIO-VISUAL SERVICES

A large DVD collection of instructional, educational and feature films, including children’s films, is available for loan.

The audiobook collection consists of both abridged and unabridged talking books. Contemporary fiction, classics, mysteries, non-fiction and instructional books are all included. Audiobooks and ebooks may also be downloaded from Overdrive and iConn.

The Library also has an extensive collection of music on CD. Classical, opera, Broadway shows, jazz, folk, popular, and children’s music are all well represented.

CONFERENCE & MEETING ROOMS

To reserve a meeting room, please read and complete the Meeting Room Application Form.

Once complete, the signed application must be returned to the library. Applications may be mailed to 104 Main St., Cheshire, CT  06410; faxed to 203-272-7714; or dropped off to the library in person.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES

  • Coin-operated photocopying machines are available to the public.
  • Computers with software programs for public use.
  • Quiet study rooms.
  • For the visually impaired: large print books, and books on tape. A power magnifier for patrons with sight problems is available for use in the Library.

BOOK DROPS

Book drops are located in the front and back of the building.  There is an audiovisual drop located only at the back of the library. Materials returned in the bookdrops after the library closes will be checked in the following business day.
